Ruffwear Front Range Harness size chart

The Front Range is a padded everyday harness with a back ring and a front clip. Ruffwear sizes it by chest girth only, so there is one number to match.

Before you order

Ruffwear measures girth at the widest point of the rib cage, behind the front legs.

Different brands cut different sizes, so a Medium here is not a Medium elsewhere. Match the chest number every time. The fit check takes a minute once it arrives.

Questions

What size Ruffwear front range harness should I get?

Match your dog's chest girth to the chart on this page. In between sizes, Ruffwear says to choose the larger size.

My dog is exactly on a size boundary. Which Front Range size?

Ruffwear's own advice is to take the larger size when you are between sizes. The harness has four adjustment points, so the bigger size can be tightened down.

Does Ruffwear size by weight?

Not on this chart. The product page lists girth only, so measure the chest.

How do I measure chest girth?

Stand your dog and wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs. Keep it snug, with room for two fingers.
