How does the dog size calculator work?

It places your dog in a weight band (toy, small, medium, large, giant) and estimates chest girth from weight with an early FurSize model. The model has not been calibrated on measured dogs, so the chest figure is a range, not a promise.

Is the result good enough to buy a harness?

It is good enough to know which part of a size chart to look at. For the purchase itself, measure the chest with a tape.
